Two new partial Chapters have appear in the Book of Prophecies;
The Book of Esteban
Antonio Don Esteban was the son of a Prevorian Warlord named Maximiliano who had land on the border with Belgaria. His father was often at war with his neighbours who served the Wizard King of Belgaria. The lackey of the Wizard Prince would use the Forbidden Magic against Maximiliano and his men, but somehow the Warlord would always prevailed, apparently thanks to his superior Cunning on the battlefield, the Strength of his arm, and his raising Glory which would attract many allies to his side. Maximiliano explained to his son that his good Fortune was coming from the Winds. Antonio then became very pious, so the blessing of the Winds would remain on his father.
One night he could not sleep, Antonio got out of bed and wandered outside in the dark. He then heard to voice of his father talking to somebody. Antonio approached without Maximiliano noticing him. The young man saw that the Warlord was talking to his battle axe, and that the reflection of a demon on the blade of the weapon was answering to his father. From the conversation he overheard, Antonio understood that the Devil Kornudrax had chosen the Warlord’s axe as his body on this World. However, bodies in the Land of Ensifer usually have to be made of flesh and blood. To preserve Kornudrax’s body, Maximiliano had to feed the Axe with the blood of his enemies, while in exchange, the Devil would teach the Warlord Secrets from Under the Mountain.
Despite his love for his father, Antonio denounced Maximiliano as a follower of the First One to the Prevorian Inquisition. The Warlord was tried by the Inquisition and condemned burnt at the stake. Has he was watching his father burn, Antonio felt Compassion for him and killed him with an arrow to put an end to his suffering. Maximiliano’s lands were confiscated by the King of Prevoria, but as compensation for the Sacrifice of his birth right and a reward for his Honesty, Antonio was made Sir Antonio don Esteban, a knight of the Prevorian Inquisition.
The Book of Andreus
Andreus was a stable boy of humble origins who grew up in Lower Alba. Him and his family were believers, and as such were persecuted by most in Lower Alba, where the false god Ghildas was still being worshipped. They had found refuge at the keep of Warlord who was not a Believer, but would protect them in exchange for their services.
One day, Andreus was conscripted into his Warlord’s army because Ulrich was leading a slave revolt across the land. During the Slave War, Andreus proved to be a very able fighter on horseback. His Courage was noted by Antonio Don Esteban, who happened to be an ally of his Warlord during the Slave War. Given that Andreus was also a Believer, Antonio offered him to join the new order he had founded, the Holy Order of the Questor, which Andreus gladly accepted.
Andreus’ part of the Quest was to focus on the First Gold Arrow. Andreus traveled across the Veil into the Dark Forest to look for the Gold Arrow at the Faey Court. There, he was told that an Arcane named Silverwing had it, and that the Arcane could be found deeper in the Dark Forest.
As he was looking for Silverwing, Andreus came across a clearing inhabited by Nymphs. Andreus being a good looking young man, the Nymphs tried to seduce him. Their charm and beauty were quasi-divine, but Andreus was Disciplined and loyal to the Quest. Every fibers of Andreus’ body were telling him to abandon the Quest and stay with the Nymphs forever, but his Faith was greater than that. As he felt that the beauty of the Nymphs was driving him crazy, Andreus gauged his own eyes out of his skull with his bare hands so he would no longer be distracted by it. As he became blind, instead of darkness and Void, Andreus saw a bright white light that revealed to him the coming of the True Reign.
